Allyn Grima doesn't have a tidy origin story. He started tattooing in 2021, and has spent the years since building a body of work that's dark, deliberate, and completely his own. The recipe for his madness seems to be something like a combination of caffeine, exotic treats and maybe a touch of a sleeping disorder.
The Work: Deep, Dark, and Uncompromising
Allyn works almost exclusively in black — heavy, high-contrast blackwork with roots in horror and anime that somehow manages to feel both unsettling and precise. There's real craft underneath the darkness. Every piece is considered, every shadow intentional. He genuinely cares about what he makes, and it shows.
He's not trying to tattoo everyone. But if his work speaks to you, it probably speaks to you loudly.
